Cruise Passenger Terminal to Open in Abu Dhabi

A new cruise terminal will open at Mina Zayed on Sunday as part of the emirate’s goal to boost its tourist arrival numbers.
Abu Dhabi Ports is opening the state-of-the-art facility near the Corniche under the patronage of Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed, National Security Adviser and Deputy Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Council.
Described as a “landmark” for cruise tourism in the Arabian Gulf, the structure will serve an increasing number of cruise liners and passengers.
The construction of the terminal underlines the emirate’s ambitions in the tourism sector to elevate its standing as a leading winter sun cruise destination, state news agency Wam said. Details
