Burj Khalifa’s ‘Light Up 2018’ Extended for 3 Months

- The Light Up 2018 laser display at Burj Khalifa will be repeated five nights a week until 31st March 2018
- The show starts at 8 PM on Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday and at 10 PM on Thursday and Friday
- Previously, Emaar said the show would be repeated until 6th January 2018, but has since extended the display for three more months
- Tens of thousands came to Downtown Dubai on New Year’s Eve to watch the light show, which is set to music performed by 80 UAE musicians
- Burj Khalifa is the tallest tower in the world, at a height of 829.8 metres
- A spectacular light and sound show, ‘Light Up 2018’ lit up the Burj Khalifa as the clock struck 12 at midnight on 1st January 2018
- ‘Light Up 2018’ is displayed across 109,252 square metres of the exterior of Burj Khalifa
- ‘Light Up 2018’ established a new Guinness World Record for the largest light and sound show on a single structure, topping the earlier record set in Hong Kong in 2013
- 2018 was the first time Burj Khalifa did not welcome the New Year with fireworks but spectators were stunned by the laser light show
