Book Limo Taxis on Uber in Dubai
- RTA announced on 18th July, 2017, that Dubai taxi limousines can now be booked via Uber App
- RTA’s Dubai Taxi Corporation (DTC) signed an agreement with Uber to enable the booking of DTC limousines through Uber App
- Adding Dubai Taxi Limo to Uber App is expected to increase the availability of vehicles; which in turn will cut back customers waiting time
- The Agreement will leverage the operational efficiency of DTC by ensuring the optimal use of the resources, developing new and smart services to enhance customers’ experience, and improving the quality of services to keep pace with technology
- Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) is the government entity that is responsible for developing and maintaining all transport-related infrastructure in Dubai
- Uber is an international transport service provider, popular because of the convenience of booking a taxi through an app

- The base fare for UberSELECT cars is AED 8, with a minimum amount of AED 17 to be paid, while UberBLACK and UberXL has base fare of AED 10 and AED 13, with minimum of AED 20 and AED 25 to be paid for every ride
- Uber’s main contender in Dubai is Careem, which has been supplying private car hire to an increasing number of cities in the Middle East since 2012
