The Ministry of Culture, Youth and Community Development launches its annual ceremony to honour the winners of ‘Al Burda Award’. The 13th session is held under the patronage of His Excellency Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture, Youth and Community Development.

The ceremony will include the operetta entitled “Fe Thelal Al Burda” in which the Tunisian artist Lotfi Bouchnak and the Palestinian artist Mohammed Assaf, in addition to the artists Ahmed Al Jasmi and Mahmoud Al Ali. The ceremony will also include pieces of religious chanting by the Emirati vocalist Al Wasmi along with the Macedonian vocalist Massoud Chrits and the band Ornina who will also feature in the ceremony.

Alongside the ceremony, the ministry also organizes an art exhibition featuring the best Burda award winning works in previous sessions. The exhibition features a rare collection of the most beautiful and rarest paintings in Arabic calligraphy and ornamentation by international calligraphers and embossers.
