Expeditionary learning Educationis one of the Nation’s most innovative and successful school design instructional models. Through expeditionary learning design principles and practices, school designers enable our teachers to implement real life, project-based learning “expeditions” that promote literacy and integrate curricular content. Expeditionary Learning also delivers the school’s stated mission goals of providing students with a creative, adaptive and ethical environment consistent with the state’s curriculum standards.

Al Manara School Admission Procedures:

Manara Academy is an open-enrollment charter school. Students who will attend K-9th grades for the 2015-2016 school year from the following school districts may apply for either campus:

Manara Academy is a tuition-free open enrollment charter school funded by the State of Texas.

Criteria for Admission
There are no tests or qualifications required to attend Manara Academy. Timely application and availability of space are the determining factors for enrollment.

Open Lottery
Any student who lives within our acceptance school districts and who submits a timely application may attend Manara Academy. If the number of applications exceeds the school’s capacity, applicants will be selected through a lottery process.

How to Apply?
Step 1: Parent Completes the Online Application Form and Submits

Step 2: Parent will be given a number for use in the Lottery Process. (Applications are not first come first serve)

Step 3: Open-Lottery will be conducted
