Al Khubeirah
The Emirates Palace end of the Corniche, Al Khubeirah is bordered by the gulf and Al Khalidiyah.
This is a very popular (but expensive) location for families as it is walking distance to the family beach on the Corniche and is near to the Palace and a short drive from the CBD or downtown.
It is a stone throw from Al Marina Mall and Spinney’s Supermarket which supplies most western products (including a segregated pork section).
Mostly inhabited with local families and diplomatically sponsored families. Taxi’s are common and easy to catch.
Villa’s are independent (not in a compound) and expensive compared to down the island due to the fantastic location.
There is a lot of construction near the Corniche with huge high rises currently being completed.
