Al Dhafrah Modern Residential area near Abu Dhabi

Al Dhafra is a small city located in the neighborhood of Abu Dhabi, the capital of the United Arab Emirates. It was built near a famous military base near Abu Dhabi, operated by the United Arab Emirates Air Force. It is a modern residential area considered to be one of the most advanced and best for living. There is a large stadium and a few other sports facilities in the city.Al Dhafra Air Base is a military installation in the United Arab Emirates. The base is located approximately 20 mi south of Abu Dhabi and is operated by the United Arab Emirates Air Force.

Al Dhafra is the area bordered by Al Falah street, Defense road, Salam street and Muroor Road. Al Dhafra is predominantly residential with a mix of both buildings and villas. The villas are popular with expats who often take out big villas and share separate rooms with friends.

Al Dhafra houses the Abu Dhabi Water and Electricity Authority(ADWEA), Telecom Regulatory Authority (TRA) and has several commercial establishments, especially kitchen equipment, furniture shops and restaurants along the main road. Major supermarkets in this area are Al Falah Plaza (Lulu group) and Fresh and More supermarket.
