Ajman Police Distribute Over 1400 Iftar Meals

- More than 1400 Iftar meals were distributed by Ajman Police to drivers in the emirate
- The distribution of Iftar meals was part of the initiative named ‘Your Iftar Is on Us’, launched by the Ajman Police on 11th June, 2017
- The ‘Your Iftar Is on Us’ initiative comes in the framework of the Ajman Police’s efforts to achieve the Ministry of Interior’s strategic goal aiming to ensure customer satisfaction
- ‘Your Iftar Is on Us’ aims to enhance social integration and highlight the social role of police through distributing Iftar meals to workers in Ramadan tents across Ajman
- Ramadan is a holy month observed by all Muslims, which falls in the ninth month of the Islamic calendar, during which they fast and focus on the Five Pillars of Islam
- Ramadan 2017 is celebrated in UAE from 27th May till 24th June
- Iftar is the time of the day when Muslims break their fast, which is at around 07:00 PM in UAE
- Dubai’s RTA has been distributing 4000 free Iftar meals at bus stops and metro stations in the city during Ramadan 2017
- Another entity providing Iftar meals in UAE includes Sharjah Airport, which has been distributing thousands of Iftar meals to passengers every day throughout the month
