AI to Replace Immigration Officers in UAE by 2020

- Phasing out immigrations officers by 2020 is just one of the ways the UAE plans to use artificial intelligence to increase national security

- The announcement was made ahead of the upcoming International Exhibition for National Security and Resilience, which is expected to host over 600 exhibitors and 25000 visitors
- There will be 20 workshops and more than 50 exhibitors developing solutions for AI for the first time at the event in UAE
- Artificial Intelligence is said to be intelligent behaviour by machines, trying to emulate human intelligence
- The newest section at Abu Dhabi International Airport is the Midfield Terminal, which will be the world’s largest airport terminal under one roof upon completion
