Abu Dhabi Municipality has stressed the importance of effectively implementing top asset management practices internally, and at other relevant public institutions of relevance. A statement to this effect was made during a specialized workshop held by the Municipal Assets and Infrastructure Sector in the field of ‘Asset Management’. The workshop aimed at raising the awareness and bolstering the importance of adopting the best practices & policies to provide superior services and utilize the municipal assets in accordance with the sustainability values.
This workshop reflects the municipal system’s keenness to take advantage of the latest programs and ideas in municipal assets management, and at the same time familiarize the relevant parties with the experiences and expertise to make them capable of adopting best practices and delivering best services.
The Asset Management Workshop is part of a series of six other workshops that the Municipality plans to organize in this regard, namely: Introduction to Asset Management, Asset Inventory and Assessment in Support of Asset Management, Service Level, Planning and Developing Asset Management Programs, Asset Assessment, and Asset Performance.
Through these workshops, the Abu Dhabi City Municipality intends to educate employees of a variety of entities such as those in Asset Management Sections at the Department of Municipal Affairs, Department of Finance, Western Region Municipality, Al Ain Municipality, Accounts Division, Maintenance Sections, Projects Management in Abu Dhabi Islands, Infrastructure Projects Management at the North, Infrastructure Projects Management at the South, Al Bateen Municipal Center, Al Wathba Municipal Center, Al Shahama Municipal Center and Musaffah Municipal Center.
Such workshops are intended to enhance and integrate Assets Management Section for Strategic Partners comprising divisions, projects, maintenance section, external centers, and accounts. They also contribute to improving procedures & operations with all strategic partners, and leveraging employee skills & capabilities to enhance their performance levels.
