Abu Dhabi’s Khalifa Port opens specialised RORO cargo hub
As part of its commitment to facilitate development and trade, Abu Dhabi Ports has enhanced its customer service offering by moving all of Abu Dhabi’s roll-on-roll-off (RORO) cargo to a new specialised hub.
RORO refers to cargo that is moved on wheels on and off ships, as opposed to cargo that is lifted using cranes.
Abu Dhabi handled more than 100,000 units, for the first time in 2014, recording an all-time high of 106,071 units. The RORO volumes grew by 18.8 per cent compared to 2013, said the state news agency WAM. Read More
