Abu Dhabi to host Youth Festival 2016
The India Social and Cultural Centre (ISC), Abu Dhabi, will hold a Cultural Youth Festival on May 26-28, as part of their social commitment towards the Indian community, ISC announced recently.
The Youth Festival titled “ISC-Medeor UAE Open Youth Festival 2016” will be a cultural showcase of the artistic abilities of Indian students and youths residing across UAE.
The competitions will be held at five different venues simultaneously at ISC premises in Abu Dhabi. ISC has been conducting the Youth festival in Abu Dhabi for several years now.
The three day event estimates participation of 600 students/youths up to age of 18 from various schools and institution across the UAE. They will take part in twenty one different competitions. Judges will select the best talents in their respective fields.
Moreover, the festival aims to represent diverse cultures from the various states of India.
Judging panel comprising of eminent and versatile personalities from different parts of India will arrive on May 25. They will also hold a workshop on Indian dance forms in connection with youth festival.
In addition the competitions will have various dance forms including Bharatnatyam, Mohiniyattam, Kuchipudi, Regional Folkdance, Kathak, Odyssey, Semi Classical Dance and various forms of music such as, Carnatic, Hindustani, Light music, film song with Karaoke, instrument music, Mono Act, Fancy Dress and many more.
Apart from attractive prizes for individual winners the best emerging winners will be honoured with title “ISC Prathibha 2016 and ISC Thilak 2016”.
