Abu Dhabi Municipality Lights up Mina Zayed’s Pavement
- Illuminated and environmentally-friendly kerbstone has replaced concrete pavement in Al Mina as part of a trial project by Abu Dhabi City Municipality
- The new pavements have multiple colours supported by internal LED lights that reflect lighting outside
- The pavements are heat resistant and insulated against water, and the lighting cables will be covered by cement mortar and will not pose any risk to pedestrians
- The project was funded and constructed by Capital of Construction for General Contracting Company as part of the Year of Giving 2017 initiative
- Abu Dhabi is the capital city and the largest emirate in the United Arab Emirates
- The Municipality of Abu Dhabi City is municipal system responsible for the development and welfare of Abu Dhabi
- Mina Zayed is a commercial deep-water port and a prime area in the city of Abu Dhabi
