There will be a partial road closure on Abu Dhabi Corniche today and traffic will be diverted to two alternative roads in support of the Union Fortress live military demonstration.

The Corniche will be closed to traffic in both directions from its junction with 18th street, leading to Mubarak bin Mohammed Street.

A tweet by the Safety and Traffic Solutions Committee, the traffic will be diverted onto Sultan Bin Zayed the First Street and Shaikh Rashid Bin Saeed Street.

Union Fortress, a live show at 4:30 PM by the UAE Armed Forces will give the general public a first-of-its-kind action-packed demonstration on Abu Dhabi Corniche.

People will get front-row exposure to sophisticated, sea-borne hostage rescue including helicopters, F16s and tactical submarines.

It is the first joint show involving all branches of the military: the Presidential Guard, the Joint Aviation Command, the Navy, the Air Force, Air Defence and the Army.

The post also shared that park-and-ride service will be available for attendees from 2 PM onwards at Umm Al Emarat Park.

An accident was reported on Al Manara bridge towards Al Wasl road this morning.
