More Than 7000 Iftar Meals Donated by Abu Dhabi Municipality

- Abu Dhabi Municipality has launched the ‘Fasters Breakfast’ initiative to provide Iftar meals to workers in the emirate during Ramadan 2017
- More than 7000 workers in Mussafah area in Abu Dhabi receive Iftar meals, served under the supervision of the Mussafah Centre
- The ‘Fasters Breakfast’ initiative includes breakfast meals for the cleaners and the traffic personnel at the Madinat Zayed Center throughout Ramadan, in cooperation with the private sector
- Abu Dhabi Municipality’s Iftar programme is line with the implementation of UAE’s initiative of the Year of Giving 2017
- The Municipality of Abu Dhabi City is municipal system responsible for the development and welfare of Abu Dhabi
- The ‘Fasters Breakfast’ initiative aims to perpetuate the values of charity work, and encourage volunteering as a constructive societal practice that contributes to consolidating social ties
- Year of Giving 2017 is and initiative launched by His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, to promote charity and generosity in the country
- During Ramadan 2017, other emirates in the UAE are also giving away Iftar meals to thousands of labourers and Muslims who are fasting, including Dubai Police, Ajman Police and Sharjah International Airport
- Ramadan is being observed from 27th May till 24th June in 2017
