The planning committee is proud to once again give the region a platform for Health Information Management discussions and learning in collaboration with the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA).
The congress programme will present the most up-to-date Health Information Management practices, as well as addressing certain specific needs of Health Information Professionals from the UAE and the region.

The congress theme “HIM: The Heart of Healthcare” reflects the growing importance of Health Information Management (HIM) globally. The rapid technological progress in the health care sector brings many challenges to the HIM profession across the globe. However, many countries do not yet have an adequately trained HIM workforce.

Following the five previous successful conferences from 2010 to 2015, this year’s two-day intensive conference will allow health information managers, data analyses, administrators, policy makers, insurers, clinicians, coders and vendors a much-needed platform to present, share, learn and discuss the latest findings in health information management and utilization in order to integrate healthcare information management and technology for medical service solutions to ensure the highest level of patient care.

The annual HIM congress brings together healthcare colleagues from both far-field and from around the region.
