589 missions conducted by the Police Air Wing

Within the first half of this year, a total of 589 flights have been carried out by The Abu Dhabi Police Air Wing, officials have revealed.
The police said, “The air wing carried out 243 special police tasks, 242 training tasks, 35 air ambulance and 86 other tasks, as well as one search and rescue mission.”
“The team also participated in several activities and events this year, and implemented a number of initiatives, which focused on public services.”, said Brigadier-Pilot Ibrahim Hassan Al Baloushi, director of the Air Wing Administration.
Colonel-Pilot Mohammed Obaid Al Shmeli, deputy director of the Air Wing Administration, said, “The administration has also organized 15 courses, which benefited 409 doctors and nurses, as well as 30 pilots”, pointing out, “nine courses were organised on how to deal with aircraft air ambulance and safety procedures in hospitals, and three courses in the overall aviation system management, as well as two courses in the air medical evacuation and one course in cardiopulmonary resuscitation.”
On Thursday, the police told that “The Air Wing continues to carry out humanitarian and community tasks, which includes ambulance services, search and rescue, aerial photography and road monitoring.”
Just recently the Police Air Wing had transferred an injured Emirati man to Sheikh Khalifa Medical City (SKMC) from Fujairah hospital after he sustained some serious injuries in a road accident.
