3 New UAE Visa Offices to Open in India

- UAE will open three new consular offices in India soon, the UAE Embassy in New Delhi has announced
- The new offices in Chandigarh, Chennai and Hyderabad will help Indians in those regions to get UAE visas easily as they wouldn’t have to travel to other cities
- The embassy has also launched a mobile application to serve both Emiratis and Indians during their travel in India and the UAE
- The mobile application with the name of the UAE Embassy, New Delhi is available to download on Apple’s App Store and Google’s Play Store
- There are 2.8 million Indians living in the UAE, constituting the largest section of the expatriate community in the country
- There are 3 existing consular offices of the UAE in India – in New Delhi, Mumbai and Thiruvananthapuram
- Chandigarh is a North Indian city, the capital of Punjab and Haryana, while Chennai and Hyderabad are capital cities of Tamil Nadu and Telangana in the South
- Sheikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan visited India in February 2016 to elevate UAE’s friendly relationship with India to a comprehensive strategic partnership
- Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit the UAE in 2018, after his maiden visit in August 2015
