2 warehouses get hit by fire in Al Quoz Industrial Area
A fire had been started inside a warehouse that used to store construction materials and flammable items late on a Tuesday night as reported by an official from the Dubai Civil Defense.
The blaze was able to be contained by the firefighters and they also managed to prevent it from spreading to nearby warehouses. There were other warehouses nearby, some 12 of them which could have been quite fatal if it did spread. Thankfully the firefighters came to the rescue and curbed the situation from getting, even more, worse on the spot.
From the incident, there have been no reports of deaths or injuries. The fire that started in the warehouse used to store materials that were related to construction and also that were highly inflammable.
Brigadier Rashid Khalifa Al Buflasa, assistant director general of fire and rescue services at Dubai Civil Defense said, “We were alerted at 11:17 PM about the fire in Al Quoz Industrial Area 3. We arrived within two minutes. We prevented the fire from spreading and controlled it in 1:40 hour”
There are more details that are to be followed shortly.
