- GDRFA officials in Dubai announced that Dubai Airports will soon have ‘Smart Tunnels’ to speed up movement of passengers
- The ‘Smart Tunnel’ technology was unveiled during the first day of the Gitex 37 technology show at World Trade Centre
- It is the first of its kind in the world – a biometric system that works on face recognition technology, wherein the passenger can finish entry procedure within 15 seconds
- GDRFA-Dubai will be co-ordinating with Emirates and Tesla for the Smart Tunnel project, as part of the government accelerators initiative
