1 year UAE residency visa for people affected by war and disaster

- Citizens of war-torn countries to get 1-year residency visa in UAE regardless of their residency conditions
- This shall be between the renewable period from August 31st to October 31st
- This decision was made this Monday with the approval from the Cabinet that was chaired by His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai
- The decision also provides the exemption of fines that have been accumulated by the citizens of the war-torn nations
- The decision is seen as a humanitarian move that aims to relieve the sufferings of those citizens of war-torn countries
- The move complies with the decision to help those people who are needy and vulnerable coming from different parts of the world
- Those citizens who enjoy this privilege will also enjoy the same rights as that of the Emirati citizens
- Since 2019 is the Year of Zayed, this initiative is highly being praised for as it coincides with the same humanitarian theme of the year
