Rulers of Dubai and Abu Dhabi Will Lead Eid Al Fitr 2017 Prayers

- Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Ruler of Dubai, will perform the Eid Al Fitr 2017 prayers at Zabeel Mosque in Dubai
- Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, will lead the Eid Al Fitr 2017 prayers at Abu Dhabi’s Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque
- Sheikhs, top officials and ministers will be present during the Eid Al Fitr 2017 prayers that will be performed at the main mosques in UAE
- Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum will receive visitors at the Grand Zabeel Majlish in Dubai after the Eid Al Fitr 2017 prayers, while Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan will receive people at Mushrif Palace in Abu Dhabi
- Eid Al Fitr is a major festival celebrated in UAE at the end of the Ramadan, the Holy Month during which Muslims observe fasting
- An official moonsighting committee will convene on the night of Saturday, 24th June, to confirm the first day of Eid Al Fitr 2017
- The Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) announced that the Eid Al Fitr holiday for federal ministries and authorities in the UAE will begin on 24th June, 2017
- The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation confirmed that Eid Al Fitr 2017 holidays for private sector will be two days, for which the dates will be fixed based on when Eid falls
- A moon-sighting committee will convene on the evening of Saturday, 24th June, 2017, to determine the first day of Eid al Fitr
