Free Parking Hours for Ramadan: Here is Where and When You can Park for Free

Parking fees waived off during iftar throughout Ramadan.

With Ramadan, come virtues and blessings in abundance for all! And with lots of socializing, praying and shopping going around, the UAE government has relaxed several rules for Ramadan. Along with decreasing working hours and mandatory discounts for retailers, there’s another great value for Abu Dhabi residents; the free parking hours for Ramadan.

The Department of Transport has announced changes in the paid parking timings for Ramadan. You can now enjoy free parking hours. Check them out below.

Worshipers attending Tarawih, the last prayer of the day during Ramadan will be exempt from Mawaqif fees in the parking bays surrounding mosques during prayer time. However, you cannot block traffic flow or other vehicles.

Bus Services

Buses will continue operating non-stop during the Iftar period. But, but the frequency of buses plying on some routes will reduce after Iftar. Bus timings are adjusted during the holy month, with the frequency dropping to 1 bus per hour after iftar for the following services: 101, 102, 111, 110, 190, 290,A10, A2, A1, 410, 216, 175, 011, 09, 08, 07, A40, A20, 063, 065, 056, 044, 026, 022, X5, X4, X3, X2, 069 and 067.
