The new law recently approved increases mourning leave, annual leave and comes along with other privileges
The law allows the possibility for one to work from remote locations
The annual leave is increased from 22 to 25 days for employees of grade 8 to 11, while those employees of grades 7 and below receive 18 days of leave instead of 15
The previous law only allowed the travel for up to 3 children in a family, this new law has abolished that cap
The new law also grants employees allowance for overtime directly from their immediate supervisor
The law grants employees who are busy into research, projects and graduation a five-day comprehensive leave
The law allows promoting an employee to higher ranks depending upon their performance and if meets expectations, rather than experience
The law grants annual allowance for employee’s family members of those aged 21 and below, unlike the previous age cap of 18
The law was approved this Sunday by His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai
