- Two lanes of the Al Maqta Bridge in Abu Dhabi are to be closed until Sunday, 23rd September, for maintenance
- The closure, which began on Wednesday, only applies to the Abu Dhabi-bound lanes and will continue until 05:00 AM on Sunday
- The Abu Dhabi City Municipality and the Traffic and Patrols Directorate announced the closure at the start of the long weekend
- The municipality called on all motorists to exercise caution, use the diversions in place and slow down when approaching the bridge
- Al Maqta Bridge is about 300 metres long and was first constructed in 1967
- Al Maqta Bridge was the first bridge connecting Abu Dhabi island with the mainland
