High-speed Wi-Fi will be available in TransAD’s fleet of Mercedes Vito compact vans, to coincide with the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
The Centre for Regulation of Transport by Hired Cars said the service would be available from November 27.
Mohammed Darwish Al Qamzi, director general of TransAD, told Al Ittihad, the Arabic-language sister paper of The National, that other Abu Dhabi taxis would be kitted out with the technology soon.
Mr Al Qamzi said the Wi-Fi would be of huge benefit to tourists who otherwise might not have data on their phones. Details
