About Umm Al Emarat Park

Umm Al Emarat Park, formerly known as Mushrif Central Park, is one of the oldest and largest parks in Abu Dhabi. The park was built in 1982 and was initially meant only for women and children. It went through extensive renovation from 2013 to 2015, and was reopened to the public as the revamped Umm Al Emarat Park. It has turned out to be one of the most popular parks of the city since and has won the prestigious Green Flag Award to its credit.

The park is home to a number of attractions, including Wisdom Garden, Botanic Garden, Shade House, an Amphitheatre, Great Lawn and Evening Garden. The park is focused on being community friendly, so it has a Friends of the Park pavilion to showcase community events, exhibitions, workshops, markets, and such. The vast space and greenery of the park makes it a great place for all the family to have a good time, whether the kids want to play or the parents want to relax and take in the scenery. The park is known to be full of life irrespective of the time of the day, and is quite frequented by people even at night, to enjoy the well-lit atmosphere and cool weather.
