Khalifa University led the pack of top-performing universities in the country after being ranked in the 301-350 places among the best higher education institutions in the world.
United Arab Emirates University came second in the country tally and was placed in the 351-400 global rankings while the American University of Sharjah and University of Sharjah were tied in third place and were among the 801-1000 top universities worldwide.
Khalifa University is ranked in the 301-350 world rankings together with UK’s Heriot-Watt University, University of Connecticut in USA, Boston College, University of Houston, La Trobe University Australia and KSA’s Alfaisal University.
The top-ranked university in the GCC was KSA’s King Abdulaziz University at 201-250 places.
The 2019 World University Rankings include more than 1,250 universities, making it THE’s biggest international league table to date.
