UAE Rulers Perform Eid Al Adha Prayers

Eid-Prayers-at-Sheikh-Zayed-Grand-Mosque
  1. Sheikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, offered Eid Al Adha prayers at Zabeel Mosque on Friday morning
  2. Sheikh Mohammad Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, performed Eid prayers at the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque
  3. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, offered prayer along with Sheikh Mohammed in Dubai
  4. Eid Al Adha prayers in Abu Dhabi were held at 06:17 AM, and at 06:20 AM in Dubai
  1. Eid Al Adha is the largest Islamic festival celebrated worldwide
  2. Eid prayers are called Salat al-Eid or Salat al-Eidain in Arabic (Eidain refers to both Eid Al Fitr and Eid Al Adha)
  3. The time for the Eid prayer begins from the time the sun is 3 m (9.8 ft) from the horizon until the sun reaches its meridian
  4. Eid Al Adha is celebrated on the 10th day of Dhu al-Hijjah, the 12th month of the Islamic calendar
  5. Eid Al Adha 2017 holidays in UAE will be from 31st August till 2nd September for private sector employees and from 31st August till 4th September for government employees
