UAE Leaders Celebrate National Day in Abu Dhabi

  1. The leaders of the UAE came together in Abu Dhabi on Saturday, 2nd December 2017, to celebrate the country’s 46th National Day
  2. Present at the event were Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Members of the Supreme Council, as well as Rulers and Crown Princes of the Emirates
  3. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan shared the news on his Twitter page
  4. The evening hosted many spectacular performances including a singing of the UAE national anthem and the traditional Emirati dance
  1. UAE is a constitutional federation of seven emirates – Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Fujairah, Ras Al Khaimah and Umm Al Quwain
  2. UAE National Day is celebrated on 2nd December every year, in honour of the union of 6 of UAE’s 7 emirates on the same day in 1971
  3. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum is the Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai
  4. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan is the Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces
  5. Each emirate of UAE is ruled by a distinct royal family – Al Nahyan, Al Maktoum/Adan, Al Qasimi, Al Nuaimi, Al Mu’alla and Al Sharqi
