Al Ain National Museum is organizing a unique public tour for both residents and tourists alike to experience Emirati culture first hand. The tour, ‘Travel Through Our Traditions’, will offer visitors an opportunity to spend time with Emirati women and families, giving them an insight into the traditions and customs of Emirati life.
‘Travel Through Our Emirati Traditions’ aims to offer local intimate settings that allow the larger UAE community to know more about Emirati culture, customs and traditions.

Tour Departure location: Al Ain National Museum
Departing from Al Ain National Museum, the tour will host activities and demonstrations that highlight traditional wedding rituals and their importance in the UAE community. This will be followed by a trip to the God Market to learn how to distinguish between the different sizes and shapes of gold. The last stop will be at an Emirati house.
Al Ain is one of the world’s oldest continuously inhabited settlements, fusing the spirit of the past with a lively and contemporary vision for the future. The full cultural programme organized by TCA Abu Dhabi highlights Al Ain as the cultural heartland of the Emirate and the home to the UAE’s only UNESCO World Heritage sites.
The programme has been curated to support the UNESCO theme ‘Protecting our Heritage and Fostering Creativity’. The programme will provide a variety of platforms to encounter the Emirate’s cherished past, while being immersed in today’s urban landscapes through multi-sensory experiences.
