As part of the 44th UAE National Day celebration, a month long Traditional Souq is brought to you by the Abu Dhabi Tourism & Culture Authority.
The Souq which is open to all, includes the following activities:
• Handicrafts workshop – with embroidery, palm weaving and Sado weaving
• Traditional perfumes
• Traditional food
• Traditional photo booth
• Traditional tent
• Children Activities during the weekends
Admission to the Souq is free.
The following activities sponsored by ‘My Little World’ will be held every Thursday/Friday/Saturday of each weekend leading up to the National Day:
•Balloons to giveaway in UAE colours
•Goodie bags for parents
•Face painting in UAE Colours for children.
•Arts & Crafts activities including
Falcon mask for boys, UAE colour mask with sparkles and feathers for girls and Baby falcons in a nest craft
•Henna Design Contest: Children use paper hands to make henna design, by adding design rhinestones and other sparkles. Winners for each day to receive prize from My Little World. The final winner will be announced on National Day
•Sensory: Sand table with figures of what represents UAE : Men & Woman, Camels/Falcon, Traditional Tents, Bakhur burner, Burj Khalifa, etc
•Oobleck: 4 different coloured bowls (Red, White, Green and Black). Substance that defies matter as it acts like both solid and liquid. Children interact and play with it with different learning resources.
•The best Emirati Dress competition.
