- The ‘Year of Zayed’ logo features a powerful silhouette of Sheikh Zayed’s profile in a monochromatic colour scheme
- Honouring Sheikh Zayed’s legacy as the founder of the UAE and celebrating his vision, the emblem will be used for all official communications pertaining to the initiative.
- UAE President Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan declared 2018 as the ‘Year of Zayed’ in the country, on 6th August 2017
- The year 2018 marks the 100th birthday of the late founding father of UAE, Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan
- Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan was the first President of the United Arab Emirates, a post which he held for nearly 33 years
- ‘Year of Zayed’ will embody four main themes – Wisdom, Respect, Sustainability and Human Development
- 2017 was marked as the Year of Giving in UAE, to promote the spirit of generosity and charity in the country
