- Fourteen clinics and pharmacies were fined between AED 20,000 to AED60,000 for violating and manipulating Dubai’s mandatory health insurance law
- Dubai Health Authority (DHA) has called on individual sponsors and company owners to renew the health insurance of their employees and dependents to avoid fines
- Dr Haidar Al Yousef said, company owners who have not renewed their employees’ and dependents’ insurance will be fined AED 500 per person per month

- According to the law, it is the legal liability for every sponsor to provide an essential insurance package – fixed between AED 550 and AED 700
- 4 million Dubai residents are covered under the insurance scheme
