- As the much-awaited Dubai Fitness Challenge kicks off on Friday, thousands of participants are expected to descend on Safa Park for the DFC’s Opening Weekend Carnival
- Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum launched the challenge on 2nd October, 2017 to motivate residents to stay active and fit
- The challenge is simple — commit to 30 minutes of physical activity for 30 days – and hopefully it will become a habit that residents can incorporate in their lifestyle
- Two government entities have also accepted the 30-day challenge — Dubai Municipality and Dubai Culture and Arts Authority
- Sheikh Hamdan Bin Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum is the Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council
- The Dubai Fitness Challenge starts on 20th October and will go on until 18th November, 2017
- As part of the Fitness Challenge, Safa Park will have more than 20 activities, a children’s fun zone, a yoga session, and a healthy food zone
- Safa Park is one of the most popular parks in Dubai, located near Sheikh Zayed Road, with the nearest metro station as Business Bay on the Red Line
