New rules adopted to attract Emiratis in the private sector

A new system has been set up by the The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation in the private sector for for hiring and firing Emiratis. This will ensure that there is a boost in the quality of job creation and also aims to cultivate a secure work atmosphere. Which is highly important and heavily relevant, especially in today’s ever changing work environment.

This decision has been made by the Minister of Human Resources and Emiratisation. By majorly focussing on creating jobs for the local citizens of the nation in the private sector, it also sets the bar in creating a policy of salary appraisals for the Emirati citizens. This method helps to keep in check the employees performance while performing on the job and keeps firing down to only valid reasons. This also makes way to arrange exit interviews and offer beneficial support in the cases of being sacked.
Such initiatives taken up is thanks to the decisions that comes within the framework of a package of policies that are aimed to attract Emiratis to take up jobs in the private sector. Also this methodology of implementation is done so to deal with the coming up of Emiratisation. This empowers the citizens within the private sector to take up more jobs, create further more opportunities and attract more citizens within a steady, stable and appropriate work environment. This will also contribute to enhancing their overall competitiveness and productivity. There are various policies and steps taken to inculcate this decision. The decision makes it easier for the employer or for the employee to lodge a complaint through the ministry’s contact centre, through a smart application or by a website. A complaint form is then sent to the ministry of labour relations department to discuss issues in the presence of both parties and try to sort it out as amicably as possible. And of all else fails, then it is referred to the court. The General Authority for Pension and Social Security will be responsible for receiving the work permits that goes in accordance with the legal regulations that are all applicable in the Ministry. Within six months from the date of approval of the work permit the citizen file shall be updated along with the with the participation data in the pension funds.
