Naif Road Closed During July 2017

- RTA announced that Naif Road in Dubai will be closed from today, 8th July, 2017, for maintenance works
- The first phase will be a full closure of Naif Road in the direction from Omar bin Al Khattab Street towards Al Musalla Street, from 8th July until 22nd July
- The second phase will be a full closure of Naif Road from 23rd July until 5th August, from Al Musalla Street towards Omar bin Al Khattab Street
- Commuters affected by the closure of Naif Road can take the circular bus route service provided by RTA, which will start from the Union Metro Station, pass through Naif Park, Naif Junction 1, Burj Nahar Junction 1, and Al Nakhal bus stop before heading back to the Union Metro Station
- Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) is the government entity that is responsible for developing and maintaining all transport-related infrastructure in Dubai
- Naif Road is one of the busiest streets in Dubai, in the heart of the commercial and residential hub Deira
- According to the RTA, bus stops on Naif Road have as much as 394,000 riders per month or 13,000 riders daily
- Smart cameras have been installed on Naif Road as part of the Project Masar, to catch offenders driving in the bus and taxi lanes, who will be fined AED 600 for the same
- Naif Road serves 9 bus routes and is used by 36 buses an hour, within a stretch of 1 kilometre
