What is MAWAQIF Account?
MAWAQIF Account is a new and innovative service allowing motorists to create aMAWAQIF Account (i.e. stored value account) which is linked to the motorist’s registered Etisalat or Du mobile number. Once this MAWAQIF Account is created the motorist tops-up this account via the secure on-line credit card payment option and uses the funds in this account to pay for the m-mawaqif service.
Mawaqif mobile recharge procedure for vehicle parking
Steps for using the m-mawaqif service for Non-Registered Vehicles
(Applicable to Abu Dhabi private plate numbers only)
Step 1:
Motorist sends an SMS in the format:
Plate Category<space>PlateNumber<space>Tariff<space><Duration in hrs> to the number 3009
Example:
Red5 12345 S 4 (for 4 hours)
or Red5 12345 S (for 1 hour) Note: Tariff. code will be on parking signage and its either S or P
S = Standard Parking = AED 2 per hour for a maximum stay of 24 hours(AED 15 for whole Day)
P= Premium Parking = AED 3 per hour for maximum stay of 4 hours
Step 2:
m-mawaqif sends confirmation message with m-mawaqif permit details.
Note: Please do NOT delete this message.
Step 3:
m-mawaqif sends reminder message to motorist 10 mins before m-mawaqif permit expiry.
Step 4:
If you wish to extend for another hour, simply send an SMS with letter “E” to3009.
Example: E and SMS to the number 3009
Steps for using the m-mawaqif service for Registered Vehicles
Step 1:
Motorist sends an SMS in the format:
Nickname<space>Tariff<space><Duration in hrs> to the number 3009
Example:
Ali1 S 4 (for 4 hours)
or Ali1 S (for 1 hour) Note: Nickname is the name you created when registering your vehicle.
S = Standard Parking = AED 2 per hour for a maximum stay of 24 hours(AED 15 for whole Day)
P= Premium Parking = AED 3 per hour for maximum stay of 4 hours
