Parking in Abu Dhabi will be free of cost on 1 January 2017, the Department of Municipal Affairs and Transport (DMAT) in Abu Dhabi said.
The Integrated Transport Center at DMAT urged the public not to park vehicles in prohibited areas, and not to block traffic flow.
The timing for free parking will extend till 8AM on 2 January 2017. The ITC has asked motorists to stick to the regulations regarding the resident-only permit parking from 9PM to 8AM.
Customer care centres will be closed during on 1 January 2017 and will resume operations from 2 January 2017.
