The Roads and Transport Authority has announced that nearly all parking areas in Dubai will be free of charge during the holiday to mark the Hijri New Year on Thursday, October 15, and there will be no changes to the timetables of public buses, metro, tram or marine transit during the holiday.
Moaza Al Marri, Director of Marketing and Corporate Communication of RTA, said, “All parking areas in Dubai Emirate except for the Fish Market parking lots and multi-level parking terminals which apply a 24-hour daily tariff, will be free of charge during the Hijri New Year holiday, and the payment system will be re-activated on Saturday, October 17, 2015.
