Fog and Humidity in UAE Peak at 95% – National Centre of Meteorology
- The National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology has urged motorists to be cautious on roads due to fog in various areas of UAE
- Fog gripped Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, including Khalifa College, and Dubai’s Al Maktoum International airport, in the early hours of 28th October
- Light to moderate winds in general, freshening at times and causing blowing dust and sand over exposed areas can be expected
- The temperature in the internal areas could hover between 36°C to 41°C during the day, and humidity levels could be as high as 95%
- The National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS) is engaged in the study of a broad range of atmospheric phenomena and processes to determine climatic conditions in UAE
- The climate of UAE is warm and sunny due to its position near the line of the Tropic of Cancer
- UAE experiences heat for the most part of the year, and the winter months between January and February have average minimum temperatures recorded from 10-14°C
- Peak summer in UAE runs between July and August, when the average maximum temperature is 49°C
- The weather in UAE starts to head towards winter from October, with the average temperature being 36 °C
