Fog causes 15-vehicle pile-up on Abu Dhabi-Dubai road
The patrols implemented the emergency plan for foggy conditions by controlling the flow of traffic to the location, and removed the damaged vehicles from the road.
A thick blanket of fog that enveloped the country on Monday morning caused a 15-vehicle pile-up on the Abu Dhabi-Dubai road in the direction of Al Samha. An Emirati suffered minor injuries and was treated on the scene.
Colonel Mohammed Ahmed Saif Al Mazroui, Head of the Peripheral Regions Traffic Department of the Abu Dhabi Police, said the Operations Room dispatched traffic patrols as soon as it received an alert.
