Shoppers at Dubai Mall immediately rushed for the exit late this Thursday when the fire alarm was set off, by mistake. The Dubai Police was quick to react. Upon investigation, they come to a conclusion that the person had accidentally pressed the fire alarm button that was mounted on the wall. It was midnight when the fire alarm went off inside the mall.
The Dubai police took to twitter stating:
“Dubai Police would like to clarify that a person mistakenly set off the fire alarm at the Mall after he had broken the emergency button fixed on a wall inside the mall. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding”
An official from the Civil Defence mentioned that the firefighters went inside the mall only to discover that it was nothing but a false alarm.
