Eid Al Fitr holidays for UAE public sector announced
The Eid Al Fitr holiday will start next week.
HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, tweeted that the public sector will have a one-week holiday to mark Eid, starting next Sunday.
Sheikh Mohammed tweeted: “We have ordered that the Eid holiday for federal bodies will start on July 3 and they will return back to work on July 10.”
In a series of tweets, Sheikh Mohammed also said that the cabinet has ordered that national service recruits who have completed their national service will be given priority when applying for government jobs.
“This gesture is to thank them,” Sheikh Mohammed wrote.
He added that both government and private schools will break for the summer holidays on June 30.
Eid Al Fitr is expected to fall on July 6, depending on the moon sighting
