Dubai Police Authority Reveal New Hoverbikes, UAE
- Dubai’s tech-savvy police force recently unveiled a number of gizmos, including a flying motorbike
- The new crime-fighting “hoverbike” is part of the impressive display of advanced technology unveiled at the on-going Gitex
- The battery-powered flying bike, co-developed with Russian drone manufacturer Hoversurf, is being eyed for use in responding to emergency situations
- With a pilot, the hoverbike can fly for up to 25 minutes, move up to 70 kph and carry up to 300kg of weight, or fly without a pilot for up to 6km
- Dubai Police is the main regulatory authority in the emirate, with a force of 15000, functioning for over 60 years in Dubai
- GITEX, which stands for the Gulf Information & Technology Exhibition, is an annual technology exhibition, and the first in the Middle East
- GITEX 2017 is running from 8th-12th October
