This structure proudly showcases Dubai’s history right in the heart of the city, situated south of the Dubai Creek. The Museum is housed within the Al Fahidi Fort, which was built back in 1787, as the premises of the monarch and a fort of defence.
The museum gives a great insight into the culture and past of Dubai. It is divided into wings such as the monuments wing, the traditional home and masjid wing, the oasis wing, the astronomy and natural phenomena wing, sea wing, folklore wing, weapons and Old Dubai fortification wing, and the wing of Dubai between the past and present.
