- The AED 1.79 million-worth bus was donated by DP World to the Dubai Blood Donation Centre (DBDC), for its mobile blood collection initiatives

- The new mobile campaign and an increase in collection of blood by 70-80 units per day will directly benefit patients affected by Thalassaemia, and also increase the blood donations in UAE
- The DHA is a government-run body, and the singular authority in Dubai when it comes to all aspects of the health and medical industry in the emirate
- DP World is an organisation that deals with multiple business, but mainly in the maritime sector, under the Government of Dubai
- The DBDC is the central blood donation centre for Dubai, which supplies blood and blood products to all private and governmental hospitals in the emirate
- In 2016, the DBDC collected approximately 50,000 units of blood, making it the Centre to collect the highest units of blood in the country
- DBDC collects 50% of the total blood collected throughout the country with average daily collections of 150 units
