- Dubai Cares has announced that the 9th edition of its annual Walk for Education will be taking place on 16th February at Dubai Creek Park
- The 3-kilometre walk will take place at Gate 2 of the Dubai Creek Park, next to Al Garhoud Bridge
- Dubai Cares is inviting everyone to participate and walk in solidarity with millions of children in developing countries who walk miles everyday to get basic education
- The event’s main sponsors are IFFCO and Aetna, joined by Chevron as a sponsor, while organisers include Al Tayer Group and The Kindergarten Starters
- Dubai Cares is a philanthropic organization working to provide children and young people in developing countries with access to quality education
- Dubai Cares is part of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives
- So far, education programs reaching over 16 million beneficiaries in 45 developing countries have been launched by Dubai Cares
- Walk for Education 2017 attracted more than 14,500 participants and 250 volunteers
- The entry fee for the Walk for Education is AED 30 per person, with entry being free of charge for children under five
