- Canada has now made the migration process easier for expats by making few changes to their Express Entry system
- As of 6th June, 2017, Canada’s Express Entry system has made it easier to get additional points – either by mastering the French language or by having a sibling in Canada
- Scoring NCLC 7 or higher in French will guarantee 15 additional points for those who score CLB 4 or lower in English, and 300 additional points for people scoring higher than CLB 5 in the English test
- If an expat has a sibling who is a citizen or permanent resident of Canada, they can score 15 additional points on the Canadian Express Entry system
- Express Entry is used to manage applications for permanent residence under federal economic immigration programs – the Federal Skilled Worker Program, the Federal Skilled Trades Program, and the Canadian Experience Class
- To migrate to Canada, potential candidates need to complete the online Express Entry profile, providing information like skills, work experience, language ability, education and so on
- Candidates looking to move to Canada are given a score out of 1,200 after completing and those meeting the minimum Comprehensive Ranking Score are invited to apply for permanent residency
- Canada’s Express Entry system allots a Comprehensive Ranking Score to every applicant, with points given for having Canadian degrees or certification, a valid job offer or a nomination from a province
- On Canada’s Comprehensive Ranking System, up to 500 points are given for skills and experience, 100 points for skill transferability, and a maximum of 600 additional points, making a grand total of 1200 score-able points on the system
