Bihar’s Principal Arrested as 43,000 Answer Sheets Disappear
- Grade 10 results of Bihar have been postponed for about a week after thousands of answer sheets go missing.
- About 43, 000 answer sheets disappeared from the strong room of SS Girls’ Senior Secondary High School in Gopalganj district.
- School principal Pramod Kumar Srivastava and 2 more arrested due to connection with the case.
- “The missing answer-sheets are a part of the conspiracy to defame the BSEB.” – BSEB chairman Anand Kishore.
- BSEB authorities decided over reviewing top 25 students to avoid the embarrassment of fake top students.
- Few top students belonged to Gopalganj district hence a messenger was sent to fetch the answer sheets.
- Search Operation found 213 bags missing, each containing 200 evaluated answer sheets.
- A police team with thorough high-level investigation has been ordered.
- This the third time that the state school board has faced such incidents.
